Kilpatrick Townsend Names Burleigh Singleton Managing Partner of Atlanta Office

ATLANTA (August 18) – Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that it has named Burleigh Singleton as Managing Partner of the firm’s Atlanta office—the largest of the firm’s 20 locations around the globe.

The Atlanta office, with over 500 attorneys and professional staff, is truly a special place. I look forward to working closely with my colleagues in Atlanta and with my fellow office managing partners across the firm as we continue to create a collaborative, inclusive environment focused on our clients’ success.” 

Mr. Singleton, a partner and current member of Kilpatrick Townsend’s Executive Committee, has held a number of leadership positions in the community and the firm, including chairing the Hiring Committee for many years. He has spent nearly his entire 25-year career with Kilpatrick Townsend. Mr. Singleton was a summer associate with the firm (then known as Kilpatrick & Cody) in 1994 and 1995 before joining the firm in 1997 after serving a one-year clerkship.

Mr. Singleton practices with the firm’s nationally recognized Complex Commercial Litigation Team. He represents clients in a variety of commercial disputes, including commercial real estate matters, transactional/cross-border litigation, partnership disputes, business torts, and contract claims. Mr. Singleton focuses on trial work and has served as lead counsel in lawsuits and arbitrations in Georgia and throughout the United States. Since 2018, he has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America^® and has been named a Georgia "Super Lawyer" by Super Lawyers magazine annually for the last 10 years. 

Mr. Singleton earned his J.D. from Yale Law School and his B.A. in History from Emory University. While in law school, he served as an editor on the Yale Law and Policy Review and was a Thurman Arnold Prize Finalist in the Morris Tyler Moot Court of Appeals.
